California High School Basketball - Willows knocked off by Anderson
The Anderson Cubs basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Willows Honkers to 38 in the Cubs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cubs now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wheatland for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 14. Anderson will battle a Pirates team coming off a 66-42 non-league win over Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 8-5.
The Honkers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Esparto (Esparto, CA). The Spartans enter the Sacramento Valley contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Esparto was defeated by Buckingham Charter (Vacaville, CA), 49-31, in a non-league contest.
