Arcata Tigers (Arcata, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fortuna Huskies (Fortuna, CA), 51-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Arcata upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Eureka (Eureka, CA) to play the Loggers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 11. The Loggers come into the bout with a record of 18-9. Eureka won 55-53 in their recent league bout against Del Norte (Crescent City, CA)

Next up, the Huskies play the McKinleyville Panthers (McKinleyville, CA) in a Humboldt-Del Norte - Big 5 bout, on Thursday, February 7. Fortuna will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 57-45 league loss to Del Norte (Crescent City, CA).
