The Pacific Grove Breakers basketball team (Pacific Grove, CA), was nudged 40-38 in Friday's league battle with the host Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA)

The Padres now possess a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gonzales for a Mission Trail - Peninsula battle on Tuesday, February 9. Carmel will battle a Spartans team coming off a 76-34 league loss to King City (King City, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-12.

The Breakers (16-4) will now prepare for their battle against Soledad (Soledad, CA). The Aztecs come into the Mission Trail - Peninsula battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Soledad edged Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA), 85-80, in a league battle.
