Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA), 68-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Wheatland upgrades its record to 13-11 on the season. The Pirates host Sutter (Sutter, CA) to encounter the Huskies in a Butte View bout on Friday, February 20. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 19-4. Sutter won 63-54 in their recent league bout against Las Plumas (Oroville, CA)

Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Winters Warriors (Winters, CA) in a Butte View bout, on Thursday, February 19. Gridley will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-21 record after their 70-53 league loss to Orland (Orland, CA).
