Defense wins games---Defender Smith finds fellow defender Ca

It was an epic Rio Hondo league showdown between the defending state champs Temple City Rams and host Monrovia Wildcats. In a 0-0 defensive battle, it was ironic that two defenders- Zach Smith and his defensive counterpart Declan Dennis-Cavanagh connected for the games only goal with less then 2 minutes left. The set piece was set up by brilliantly by senior goalie Bryan Cote and fellow seniors Smith & Cavangh did the rest to keep a CIF berth alive for the Cats.
