The Calexico Bulldogs nipped the visiting Brawley Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Friday's league battle.

The Bulldogs (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Southwest (El Centro, CA). The Eagles go into the Imperial Valley battle with a 14-8 record. In their last battle, Southwest held off Grossmont (El Cajon, CA), 11-2, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now possess a 13-12 record. They play next when they host Imperial for a Imperial Valley battle on Tuesday, May 6. Brawley will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Valhalla (El Cajon, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 17-4.
