The Colusa Redskins softball team scored 7 points and limited the visiting Quincy Trojans to 1 in the Redskins non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Colusa improves its record to 33-2 on the year. The Redskins host Modoc (Alturas, CA) to clash with the Braves in a non-league game on Thursday, May 19. The Braves come into the game with a record of 13-7. Modoc won 3-2 in their recent non-league game against East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA)
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 18. Quincy will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 9-11 record after their 13-6 league win over Liberty Christian (Redding, CA).


the quarter final game between Colusa and Quincy started out with Tiffinay Friel dominating the Quincy batting setting down 9 of their first 10 batters. Offensively Colusa consistently hit the ball hard but right at the Quincy defense. Quincy scored first on a double and a throwing error.
In the Home half of the 5th Colusa got rolling, Andee Clare walked, Sandra MacPherson was sub in to run,Sophia Garcia lifted a bunt over the hard charging 3rd baseman, Coral Imhoff bunted and the throw was wide of first, Rylee Kampf put down a bunt that score Garcia, Tiffany Friel slammed a raising line drive that cleared the Quincy center fielder clearing the bases, Brittanee Garcia put down a perfect 2 strike bunt scoring Friel, Ashleigh Biggs single and Cheyenne Rogers sent a ball into the right/center gap scoring Garcia and Biggs.
Tiffany and the Colusa defense went to work and shut down Quincy for the win.
