The Merced Bears softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Dixon Rams to 4 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Merced improves its record to 13-6 on the year. The Bears host Central Valley (Ceres, CA) to clash with the Hawks in a Central California Conference game on Wednesday, May 1. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 5-12. Central Valley lost 12-7 in their recent non-league game against Patterson (Patterson, CA)

In their next game, the Rams clash with the Manteca Buffaloes (Manteca, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 27. Dixon will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Buffaloes come into the game with a 9-10 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Waterford (Waterford, CA).
