Foothill Trojans (Bakersfield, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Taft for a non-league match on Saturday, February 28. Foothill will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to East Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Shafter moves to 0-2 on the season. The Generals travel to Edison (Fresno, CA) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Thursday, March 12. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 3-1. Edison lost 5-2 in their recent non-league match against Central (Fresno, CA)
