The Lindhurst Blazers softball team scored 9 points and limited the visiting Willows Honkers to 5 in the Blazers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Lindhurst moves its record to 2-5 on the year. The Blazers travel to Marysville (Marysville, CA) to clash with the Indians in a Golden Empire game on Wednesday, March 16. The Indians come into the game with a record of 4-4.

In their next game, the Honkers clash with the Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 12. Willows will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Grizzlies come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Durham (Durham, CA).

The Lady Honkers took a 5-3 lead into the top of the seventh only to let it slip away by allowing 6 runs on two errors, a base on balls and five hits. Brianna Brothers took the loss striking out 8 and giving up 9 hits. Brothers continues to have a hot bat for the Honkers going 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI's. Nichole Thayer was two for 3 with a double and RBI. Samantha Brott was 2 for 4, Ashley Love was 2 for 4 and Megan Hughes was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a stolen base.
