The Windsor Jaguars softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Montgomery Vikings to 1 in the Jaguars league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Windsor improves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa, CA) to clash with the Cardinals in a North Bay game on Friday, April 12. The Cardinals come into the game with a record of 8-2. Cardinal Newman lost 7-6 in their recent league game against Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA)

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Ukiah Wildcats (Ukiah, CA) in a North Bay game, on Thursday, April 11. Montgomery will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 5-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Maria Carrillo (Santa Rosa, CA).

Jaguars beats Montgomery 5-1

Angelica Terrel went 1-1, sparking Jaguars to a 5-1 victory in seven innings over Montgomery on Tuesday at Windsor. She singled in the first inning.

Montgomery's lineup had no answer for Rachelle Butulia. Montgomery managed just one hit off of Butulia, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during her four innings of work.

Jaguars never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on an error and an RBI single by Danielle Funez.

Montgomery's lone run of the ballgame came in the second inning on a solo home run by Hayley Komrij.

Jaguars scored one run in each of the third, fourth and sixth. In the third, Jaguars scored on an RBI single by Funez, plating Terrel.
