Caleb Downs named 2022 MaxPreps National Football Player of

Mill Creek's (Hoschton, GA) 5-star safety Caleb Downs was named the 2022 MaxPreps National Player of the Year after leading the Hawks to a 14-1 record and AAAAAAA state title. It was Mill Creek's first-ever state championship in football and the 2023 Alabama signee had 83 tackles, five interceptions (two pick-6's) and 800-plus total yards and 23 touchdowns on offense.
