Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) and the host Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), saw St. Mary's basketball squad knock off Hackensack by a tally of 52-39.

With the victory, St. Mary improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Becton (East Rutherford, NJ) to play the Wildcats in a North Jersey - Division 5 challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-2.

Next up, the Comets play the Northern Highlands Highlanders (Allendale, NJ) in a Big North - Freedom challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Hackensack will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record.
