January 2, 2023: McArthur, OH 45651 The Portsmouth West Senators (West Portsmouth, OH) basketball felled the host Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH), 51-38 in Monday's non-league test.
The Senators (10-1) will now prepare for their test against South Webster (South Webster, OH). The Jeeps go into the Southern Ohio II test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, South Webster thwarted Green (Franklin Furnace, OH), 62-25, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Chillicothe for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 4. Vinton County will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 53-39 non-league loss to Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-3.
