Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Seneca Valley knocked off by Butler
January 2, 2024: Butler, PA 16001 The Butler Golden Tornado basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Seneca Valley Raiders to 60 in the Golden Tornado league triumph on Tuesday.
The Golden Tornado now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Castle for a WPIAL 6A 1 contest on Friday, January 5. Butler will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 59-49 league win over North Allegheny (Wexford, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 9-1.
The Raiders (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The Vikings enter the WPIAL 6A 1 contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Central Catholic ran past Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA), 55-48, in a league contest.
