The Crest Chargers basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers to 47 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashbrook for a 3A Big South contest on Tuesday, January 9. Crest will battle a Greenwave team coming off a 72-64 non-league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Greenwave record now stands at 10-1.

The Cavaliers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans enter the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Chase was routed by Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 61-41, in a non-league contest.
