Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Kiski Area can't hold off Greater Latrobe
January 2, 2024: Latrobe, PA 15650 The Greater Latrobe Wildcats basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Kiski Area Cavaliers to 59 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McKeesport for a WPIAL 5A 3 contest on Friday, January 5. Greater Latrobe will battle a Tigers team coming off a 62-46 league loss to Gateway (Monroeville, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-6.
The Cavaliers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin Regional (Murrysville, PA). The Panthers enter the WPIAL 5A 3 contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Franklin Regional nudged Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA), 69-51, in a league contest.
