South Dakota High School Basketball - Stanley County edges Highmore/Harrold
January 2, 2024: Highmore, SD 57345 The Stanley County Buffalos (Fort Pierre, SD) basketball nipped the host Highmore/Harrold Pirates (Highmore, SD), 67-60 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Buffalos (3-3) will now prepare for their test against McLaughlin (McLaughlin, SD). The Mustangs go into the A Region 6 test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, McLaughlin got by White Shield (Roseglen, ND), 47-42, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sully Buttes for a B Region 6 test on Thursday, January 4. Highmore/Harrold will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 62-61 non-league win over Wolsey-Wessington (Wolsey, SD). The Chargers record now stands at 2-1.
