Italy Gladiators (Italy, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Trojans (West, TX), 60-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Italy upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Gladiators travel to Texas Wind (Waco, TX) to play the in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Texas Wind lost 55-49 in their recent non-league bout against Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 55-53 non-league loss to LaPoynor (LaRue, TX).
