Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX), 74-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jayton upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Jaybirds host Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 11-8.
