Illinois High School Basketball - Liberty nudges Mendon Unity
January 2, 2024: Mendon, IL 62351 Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL), 64-58 in a league bout.
With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Eagles host Illinois School for the Deaf (Jacksonville, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a Western Illinois Valley bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Illinois School for the Deaf lost 65-42 in their recent league bout against North Greene (White Hall, IL)
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Illini West Chargers (Carthage, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Mendon Unity will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record.
