January 2, 2024: Fountain City, WI 54629 Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates (Fountain City, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Osseo-Fairchild Thunder (Osseo, WI), 55-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Cochrane-Fountain City upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Pirates host Eleva-Strum (Strum, WI) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Eleva-Strum lost 60-32 in their recent non-league bout against Mondovi (Mondovi, WI)
Next up, the Thunder confront the Cadott Hornets (Cadott, WI) in a Cloverbelt - West challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Osseo-Fairchild will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 74-51 league loss to Regis (Eau Claire, WI).
