January 2, 2024: Hooks, TX 75561 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX), by a margin of 61-16.
The Hornets (19-4) will now prepare for their outing against Redwater (Redwater, TX). The Dragons go into the 3A Region II District 14 outing with a 1-20 record. In their last outing, Redwater was trounced by Queen City (Queen City, TX), 63-11, in a league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Daingerfield for a 3A Region II District 15 outing on Friday, January 5. Sabine will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 58-36 non-league loss to Bowie (Simms, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-9.
