January 2, 2024: Fort Mill, SC 29715 The Nation Ford Falcons basketball team (Fort Mill, SC), was overwhelmed 70-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC)
The Mavericks now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Porter Ridge for a 4A Southern Carolina battle on Friday, January 5. Marvin Ridge will confront a Pirates team coming off a 62-19 non-league win over Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 10-4.
The Falcons (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, East Mecklenburg was overwhelmed by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 52-24, in a non-league battle.
