The Round Valley Elks basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Morenci Wildcats to 28 in the Elks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Elks now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Johns for a 2A North contest on Wednesday, January 10.

The Wildcats (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Tombstone (Tombstone, AZ). The Yellow Jackets enter the 2A East contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Tombstone was routed by Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ), 51-39, in a non-league contest.
