The Starmount Rams basketball team (Boonville, NC), was overwhelmed 44-23 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC)

The Huskies now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander Central for a non-league battle on Friday, January 12. Ashe County will confront a Cougars team coming off a 66-32 non-league win over Davie (Mocksville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 9-0.
