Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon tops Howard
January 2, 2024: Morganza, MD 20660 Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD), 54-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Chopticon upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Braves host Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Huntingtown won 80-52 in their recent non-league bout against Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD)
Next up, the Lions play the Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Howard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
