New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS) fans went home pleased Thursday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), 88-55 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Ripley trounced Corinth (Corinth, MS), 68-60, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS) in a 1A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Myrtle will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
