Maine High School Ice Hockey - Cheverus knocks off Brunswick
January 2, 2025: Portland, ME 04103 The Cheverus Stags ice hockey team scored 3 points and held the visiting Brunswick Dragons to 0 in the Stags league victory on Thursday.
The Stags now hold a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leavitt for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. Cheverus will play a Hornets team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, Brunswick drops to 1-3 on the year. The Dragons travel to York (York, ME) to confront the Wildcats in a Class B South battle on Saturday, January 4. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 5-2. York won 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Bow (Bow, NH)
