January 3, 2022: Buckhannon, WV 26201 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV) and the host Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV), saw Hampshire's basketball squad overcome Buckhannon-Upshur by a tally of 45-35.
With the victory, Hampshire improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 7. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Trinity Christian won 45-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH)
Next up, the Buccaneers play the North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV) in a Big Ten challenge, on Wednesday, January 5. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 58-47 non-league loss to East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV).
