The Hug Hawks basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Portola Tigers to 41 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hawks now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Tahoe for a 3A North - West contest on Wednesday, January 5. Hug will battle a Vikings team coming off a 65-56 league win over Hug (Reno, NV). The Vikings record now stands at 6-4.

The Tigers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Chester (Chester, CA). The Volcanoes enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Chester triumphed over Portola (Portola, CA), 70-45, in a non-league contest.
