Texas High School Basketball - Andrews tipped by Lubbock Christian
January 3, 2023: Lubbock, TX 79407 The Lubbock Christian Eagles basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Andrews Mustangs to 51 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calvary Academy for a TAPPS 3A District 1 contest on Friday, January 6. Lubbock Christian will meet a Lions team coming off a 46-33 non-league win over Smyer (Smyer, TX). The Lions record now stands at 3-8.
The Mustangs (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Cathedral (El Paso, TX). The Fighting Irish enter the non-league contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Cathedral was nudged by Monahans (Monahans, TX), 48-42, in a non-league challenge.
