January 3, 2023: McDonald, PA 15057 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) and the visiting Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA), saw South Fayette's basketball squad wallop Moon Area by a tally of 65-22.
With the victory, South Fayette improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Lincoln Park Performing Arts (Midland, PA) to confront the in a WPIAL 5A 4 challenge on Thursday, January 5. The come into the challenge with a record of 9-0. Lincoln Park Performing Arts won 54-49 in their recent league challenge against West Allegheny (Imperial, PA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Trinity Hillers (Washington, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 4 challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Moon Area will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Hillers come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 72-56 non-league loss to Bethel Park (Bethel Park, PA).
