South Carolina High School Basketball - Sumter tops Oceanside Collegiate Academy
January 3, 2023: Sumter, SC 29154 Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 52-43 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sumter upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Gamecocks host Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC) to play the Braves in a AAAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, January 6. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Socastee lost 37-36 in their recent non-league bout against First Baptist School (Charleston, SC)
Next up, the Landsharks play the Woodland Wolverines (Dorchester, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Oceanside Collegiate Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 50-29 non-league loss to Cane Bay (Summerville, SC).
