January 3, 2023: Ypsilanti, MI 48197 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ypsilanti Grizzlies (Ypsilanti, MI) and the visiting Pontiac Phoenix (Pontiac, MI), saw Ypsilanti's basketball squad wallop Pontiac by a count of 55-4.
With the victory, Ypsilanti upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Walled Lake Western lost 38-30 in their recent league challenge against Milford (Highland, MI)
Next up, the Phoenix play the Oak Park Knights (Oak Park, MI) in a Oakland - Blue challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Pontiac will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 39-21 non-league loss to Deckerville (Deckerville, MI).
