Georgia High School Basketball - Alcovy nips Monroe Area
January 3, 2023: Monroe, GA 30656 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA) and the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), saw Alcovy's basketball squad hold off Monroe Area by a tally of 42-38.
With the victory, Alcovy improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Newton (Covington, GA) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Newton won 40-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Alcovy (Covington, GA)
