Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Galeton fells Austin

January 3, 2024: Galeton, PA 16922

Galeton Tigers (Galeton, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Austin Panthers (Austin, PA), 48-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Galeton upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Tigers host Port Allegany (Port Allegany, PA) to play the Gators in a North Tier bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Port Allegany lost 59-31 in their recent league bout against Cameron County (Emporium, PA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA) in a North Tier bout, on Friday, January 5. Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Hubbers go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 61-29 non-league loss to Kane (Kane, PA).
