Tennessee High School Basketball - East Poinsett County fells Mitchell
January 3, 2024: Memphis, TN 38109 East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mitchell Tigers (Memphis, TN), 63-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, East Poinsett County upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR) to play the Greyhounds in a 2A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 14-11. Marmaduke lost 48-40 in their recent non-league bout against Riverside (Lake City, AR)
Next up, the Tigers play the Wooddale Cardinals (Memphis, TN) in a 2A District 16 bout, on Friday, January 5. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 50-42 non-league loss to Kingsbury (Memphis, TN).
