California High School Basketball - River Islands can't hold off Central Catholic
January 3, 2024: Lathrop, CA 95330 The Central Catholic Raiders basketball team scored 58 points and held the host River Islands Riptide to 56 in the Raiders league triumph on Wednesday.
The Raiders now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gregori for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 4. Central Catholic will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 63-50 non-league loss to Lincoln (Stockton, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-3.
The Riptide (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sierra (Manteca, CA). The Timberwolves enter the contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Sierra was nudged by Kimball (Tracy, CA), 66-56, in a league contest.
