Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Honesdale Hornets (Honesdale, PA), 33-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Western Wayne upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to West Scranton (Scranton, PA) to clash with the Invaders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Invaders go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Hornets clash with the North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) in a Lackawanna 2 bout, on Saturday, January 6. Honesdale will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
