New York High School Basketball - Mayfield overwhelms Schoharie
January 3, 2024: Schoharie, NY 12157 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) and the host Schoharie Storm (Schoharie, NY), saw Mayfield's basketball squad wallop Schoharie by a tally of 62-31.
With the victory, Mayfield improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Canajoharie (Canajoharie, NY) to confront the Cougars in a Section 2 Western challenge on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Canajoharie lost 58-32 in their recent league challenge against Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (St. Johnsville, NY)
Next up, the Storm confront the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs (Berne, NY) in a Section 2 Western challenge, on Friday, January 5. Schoharie will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 53-32 league win over Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY).
