January 3, 2024: Oak Forest, IL 60452 The Ottawa Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Oak Forest Bengals to 28 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morris for a Interstate 8 contest on Saturday, January 6. Ottawa will battle a Redskins team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 14-5.
The Bengals (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL). The Boilermakers enter the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Bradley-Bourbonnais was defeated by Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL), 45-31, in a league contest.
