North Carolina High School Basketball - Fairmont holds off Pine Forest
January 3, 2024: Fairmont, NC 28340 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) and the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), saw Fairmont's basketball squad hold off Pine Forest by a tally of 54-51.
With the victory, Fairmont improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Midway (Dunn, NC) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 9-1.
Next up, the Trojans confront the Terry Sanford Bulldogs (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Pine Forest will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 67-50 non-league win over Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC).
