Iowa High School Basketball - Waverly-Shell Rock nips Center Point-Urbana
January 3, 2025: Center Point, IA 52213 In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks basketball team scored a close 66-60 triumph over the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers.
The Go-Hawks (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Clear Lake nipped Webster City (Webster City, IA), 64-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Stormin' Pointers battle the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers (Tiffin, IA) in a WAMAC - West contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Center Point-Urbana will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Clippers go into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 68-41 non-league win over Marion/Newton Christian Academy (Marion, IA).
