In Friday's non-league test, the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) basketball squad got by the host Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), by a score of 79-76.

Next, the Red Raiders clash with the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a 3A Big South test, on Tuesday, January 7. South Point will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the test with a 6-6 record after their 85-84 non-league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC).
