New York High School Basketball - John Jay thwarts Yonkers
January 3, 2025: Cross River, NY 10536 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the John Jay Wolves (Cross River, NY) and the visiting Yonkers Bulldogs (Yonkers, NY), observed John Jay's basketball team knock off Yonkers by a score of 60-50.
The Wolves (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Brooklyn Law & Tech (Brooklyn, NY). The Jets come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Brooklyn Law & Tech prevailed over Bushwick (Brooklyn, NY), 62-57, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Hendrick Hudson Sailors (Montrose, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 6. Yonkers will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Sailors come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 45-43 league loss to Walter Panas (Cortlandt Manor, NY).
