The Mountain Crest Mustangs (Hyrum, UT) basketball toppled the host Star Valley Braves (Afton, WY), 47-37 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to West Field for a 4A Region 11 bout on Saturday, January 4. Mountain Crest will play a Longhorns team coming off a 67-54 non-league loss to Weber (Pleasant View, UT). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Star Valley falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Sky View (Smithfield, UT) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Sky View won 64-56 in their recent league bout against Ridgeline (Millville, UT)
