Nebraska High School Basketball - North Platte can't hold off Roncalli Catholic
January 3, 2025: North Platte, NE 69101 Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride (Omaha, NE) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE), 51-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Roncalli Catholic advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Crimson Pride travel to Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE) to face the Swedes in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Swedes enter the match with a record of 3-3. Gothenburg lost 92-77 in their recent non-league challenge against Holdrege (Holdrege, NE)
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE) in a B District 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 9. North Platte will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 59-35 non-league loss to Skutt Catholic (Omaha, NE).
