Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Selma Bears (Selma, CA), 72-67 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Sierra advances its record to 10-5 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Madera (Madera, CA) to face the Coyotes in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Coyotes enter the match with a record of 7-9. Madera lost 75-35 in their recent non-league match against Paso Robles (Paso Robles, CA)

The Bears now own a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunnyside for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Selma will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 51-36 non-league win over Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.
