Illinois High School Basketball - Webber thwarts Sesser-Valier
January 3, 2025: Bluford, IL 62814 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Webber Trojans (Bluford, IL) and the visiting Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL), observed Webber's basketball team knock off Sesser-Valier by a score of 71-53.
The Trojans (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodlawn (Woodlawn, IL). The Cardinals come into the Midland Trail challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Woodlawn prevailed over Odin/Patoka (Odin, IL), 59-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Red Devils encounter the Vienna Eagles (Vienna, IL) in a Black Diamond - West challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Sesser-Valier will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 61-44 league loss to Goreville (Goreville, IL).
